GADO's 16 Days of Activism: Day 14 - Campaign to End Gender-Based Violence in Kahda and Garasbaley Districts

As we continue to fight to end gender-based violence, Global Aid and Development Organization (GADO) has conducted awareness-raising campaigns in the IDP camps of #Kahda and #Garasbaley districts in Banadir Region, Somalia. This campaign aims to raise awareness and bring an end to gender-based violence against women and girls.

These efforts are part of our broader strategy to empower communities with the knowledge and resources needed to challenge and eliminate harmful practices. By engaging men, women, and youth in open dialogues, we strive to foster a culture of respect, equality, and non-violence. Our team is also providing crucial support services to survivors, ensuring they have access to medical care, psychosocial counseling, and legal assistance.

In addition to awareness campaigns, GADO is working closely with local leaders, authorities, and civil society organizations to advocate for stronger laws and community protections. Together, we are striving towards a future where every woman and girl can live free from violence, discrimination, and fear. Our collective commitment to ending gender-based violence is paving the way for a safer and more inclusive society for all.
