GADO's Commitment to Raising Awareness and Supporting Survivors of Gender-Based Violence in Somalia

Raising awareness about gender-based violence (GBV) in Somalia is a crucial step toward addressing this pervasive issue. Let’s work together to ensure the safety and well-being of all women and children in our community.

In addition to raising awareness, we are committed to providing survivors of GBV with the support they need, including access to medical care, psychological counseling, and legal assistance. Our dedicated support teams work tirelessly to create safe spaces where survivors can receive the help they need to heal and rebuild their lives.

We also work closely with local authorities and community leaders to strengthen protective measures and advocate for stronger enforcement of laws against GBV. Our initiatives include training local law enforcement on sensitive handling of GBV cases and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure that survivors receive comprehensive care.

By fostering a culture of zero tolerance for violence, we aim to create a safer, more equitable society for everyone. Our efforts also involve community engagement programs that educate individuals about the impact of GBV and promote healthy relationships based on mutual respect and understanding.

Together, we can create lasting change and empower communities to stand against violence, ensuring that every individual can live without fear and with dignity.
