Empowering Communities GADO Organization's GBV Awareness and Data Collection Initiative in Deniile District, Banadir Region, Mogadishu-Somalia.

We are proud to share that our dedicated GBV workers in the Banadir region have successfully conducted awareness and data collection efforts in the Deniile district. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to promoting gender equality and addressing gender-based violence (GBV) in vulnerable communities.

Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to raise awareness about GBV, educating camp residents on their rights, available support services, and the importance of reporting incidents. Through interactive sessions, we engaged with women, men, and young people, encouraging them to take an active role in preventing GBV and protecting the most vulnerable. These awareness efforts are vital in empowering individuals to become advocates for change within their communities.

Our GBV workers collected comprehensive data to gain critical insights into the prevalence and types of GBV incidents in the camp. This data is instrumental in helping us understand the unique challenges faced by survivors, allowing us to create more targeted and effective support programs. The information gathered will guide GADO’s future interventions and strengthen our overall response strategies in the Deniile district.

Our team gathered valuable insights to better understand the challenges faced by women and girls in the camp.
